Snoring Solution
Understanding how snoring works is the first step fixing it. Basically when you're asleep, your throat actually constricts signs and it is this constriction that leads to inner traveling at a much faster rate. If you picture here moving very fast through a confined area and causing loose tissue to vibrate, you'd basically have a picture of what is snoring. Surprisingly all of this is set in place by the position of your jaw. When it is opened it causes your throat to constrict.
The Master snoring solution is a device that helps you keep your mouth closed as you sleep. Obviously you can't control your body when you're asleep, so you need a device that can support your jaw. The great thing about such a device is that it takes about 5 seconds for you to put on before you go to bed, making it a very easy solution.

Alternative Drug Addiction Therapies - Narconon
There are almost as many treatments for drug addiction as causes for it. One of the so called "alternative therapies" is Narconon.
This treatment looks at handling the causes of the addiction, as well as the addicition itself. It is controversial inasmuch as it is based upon the writings and beliefs of Ron L. Hubbard. One time science fiction author and founder of the "religion" of scientology.
The basic premise is to try and look at an individual's own position as a start to treating the actual addicition. This program does not make use of any drugs to combat withdrawal symptoms. Rather using education and rehabilitation. The program is widely used in schools as preventative education, along with the schools own program, if they have one.
Advocates of the program commonly claim a 70% success rate with it in combatting drug abuse. As opposed to the more usual figure of around 30% for most other treatments. Narconon claims that addicts can resume normal life as a healthy, productive member of society, when they work with the program and stick with it.
Narconon have their own facilities, where drug addicts can be treated "in-house", or they can be treated as an out patient. Depending upon their level of drug abuse, and of course the wishes of the patient themselves, or more usually their partners/relatives.
The usual amount of time taken for the Narconon program to work effectively is between four to six months. During which time addicts are said to be "going back to school" to be re-educated on drugs, their use and abuse, the dangers of drugs and drug addiction, and of course eventual recovery. All done without the use of other pharmaceuticals to dull the pain of withdrawal.
Narconon has it's adversaries, just as Scientology itself. These opponents say the information used is not scientifically sound, and results are manipulated to show the program in a good light. They also say that the program is in effect brainwashing. Which of course it is, as are most programs designed to wean the brain off the effects of various substances.
Another point brought up is that the educational materials used in the Narconon program are not geared to the capabilities of the students involved. That the same materials are used for elementary level to high school level, and use many scientific terms without sufficient, or even any, explanation. This can make understanding quite hard for the younger students.
This being the case, it is still a fact that drug abuse is a massive problem worldwide, and it's causes and treatments are many. Narconon probably does have it's place in the scheme of things, and there is no doubt that many addicts have benefited from the program. Whether those people would have benefited equally from any other program is of course a matter for conjecture.

Yoru sleep and prescription drugs
Just because it is prescribed doesn't mean it's good for you.
All drugs have side-effects, including sleeping pills. You should consider the short-term and long-term effects of using any drugs, even if they are prescribed.
Some doctors will tell you about the side effects of medication when they prescribe them, others do not, and sometimes they might not even know. How can they possibly know the long term effects of a drug newly introduced to the market?
Similarly some chemists are very diligent about supplying typed notes on the known side effects and information about the drugs you are taking home - others do not. Please read the labels, and ask for information about the side effects of any new medication you have been prescribed, before you commence taking them.
And when a number of prescription medications are taken at the same time, it gets complicated, even for the professionals. Ask again about any adverse effects when medications are being taken in combination. Using the internet to source information is a valid strategy as well. When you read the side effects of some drugs, it's scary - even knowing that the drug companies have to cover as many bases as they can to cover their legal liabilities. Being proactive is very important.
Any prescription (or non-prescription drugs) that have the following side effects will, naturally, effect sleep: stress, anxiety, depression, nervousness, restlessness, drowsiness, hangover effects, hangover itself, jittery feelings, hyperactivity, synthetic highs, sleep disturbances, central nervous system stimulation, muscle activity, abnormal dreams, lethargy, somnolence (sleepiness), decreased libido, fatigue, psychotic episodes - the list goes on.
Here are some of the ways Prescription Drugs can effect Sleep:
• Stress can be a negative side effects of medication that decreases libido, causes weight gain, causes sexual dysfunction, or causes physical side effects such as nausea or vomiting.
• Certain prescription drugs (i.e. SSRIs like Celexa, Prozac, Paxil, and Zoloft) can increase insomnia by promoting a sense of restlessness, agitation, or nervousness. These symptoms range from moderate to severe and can have a lasting negative impact on your quality of sleep.
• Taking antihistamines for allergies can cause drowsiness. Unfortunately, because of this side effect they have the potential for abuse by insomniacs. While not addictive, they can cause a drowsy, hangover effect, and you might find yourself reliant on them for a quick way to fall asleep. This is a short-term solution that doesn't explore the real reason for your sleep disorder. Before you can solve the reason for your insomnia, you have to first discover it. Covering the problem with antihistamines only delays the inevitable.
• Prescription drugs that cause depression include some cholesterol-reducing drugs, immunomodifiers used to treat hepatitis B and C, MS drugs, carcinoma (e.g. some interferon drugs), HIV drugs, etc.
• Recreational drugs, which include prescribed drugs, effect sleep. Used in combination with other drugs, which is sometimes the case, the effects become unpredictable and complicated. And after taking upper party drugs, there's often an inclination to take sedative ones later, so that you can 'sleep' - a potentially dangerous cocktail. If you're in this situation you'll need some help to come off the habit. Just know that help is out there if you look.
• Sleeping pills themselves are addictive. "Addictive" also means that they become less effective over time, with some people needing more of them to achieve the same result. Take care when coming off sleeping pills by asking your healthcare professional for individual attention while you withdraw. There are a number of adverse reactions to coming off sleeping pills including rebound insomnia and panic attacks. There are websites dedicated specifically to help you with this process, including the work of Professor C. H. Ashton on benzodiazepines. Joan E. Gadsby wrote the book Addiction By Prescription which documents her 18 year addiction to sleeping pills. You might also find homoeopathic help to come off sleeping tablets.
If you intend to come off sleeping pills, do it gradually, and ensure that you have help and supervision with the process. If you are taking anti-depressants and sleeping pills, Professor Ashton suggests coming off the sleeping pills totally first, then coming slowly off the anti-depressants (they are addictive as well). It can be a long process.
• Even while being closely monitored by a physician, it's possible to end up reliant on prescription medication.
If you suffer from insomnia or other sleep disorders, it's important to establish the cause(s). Insomnia is a symptom of something else. You need to establish a solution to the underlying problem, not to the insomnia symptom.
Avoid mindlessly popping pills as a "remedy", because you can often make the condition worse. Consider the toll insomnia is taking on your life, and know that you can be helped. You don't have to live with sleepless nights. Just be careful not to take a harmful approach at solving the problem. Seek out an expert in sleep disorders, and know you don't have to accept insomnia as a normal part of life, because it isn't.

How Can I Stop Overeating?
Overeating has become a bad habit in our society and an obsession with some people. There are many reasons why people overeat and unfortunately the solutions to the problem are not that easy to implement for some. The question of how can I stop overeating can be answered logically but there are often underlying reasons that make it difficult to stop. Developing the willpower to stop overeating can seem hopeless, but it can be done. Here are some suggestions:
1. Many people will eat when they are bored. Eating is a way to overcome their boredom. It stimulates them; gives them something to do. This is a habit and a bad one. Boredom does not stimulate hunger. If you are eating when you are bored you are simply looking for something to do. The logical solution to this problem is find something else to do. Physical activity is always a good choice. If that doesn't work for you find a hobby, read a book or leave the house.
2. People often like to eat when they are stressed out. In some ways it can help you relax. Seek out different ways to control your stress levels. Food is not the answer and like boredom, stress does not trigger hunger. You are looking for a coping mechanism. Again - physical activity is a great stress reliever.
3. Social situations can lead to overeating. It can be difficult to control how much you eat when you are at a party or a happy hour with a buffet. Often times the foods that are served are mouthwatering and tempting; it can be very hard not to nibble as you are talking and drinking. Here you just have to make a conscious decision not to over indulge. Set a goal to limit yourself and stick to it. An effective way to limit how much you eat at a party is to eat a healthy meal before you go - you won't be as hungry and less likely to over eat.
4. Before meals you should drink an 8 oz glass of water. This will fool your stomach into feeling full sooner than later. Also do not eat too fast. The faster you eat the more you can consume. If you eat slowly this gives your stomach time to trigger a response to your brain to let you know that you are filling up.
5. Avoid eating foods with empty calories. Foods that are processed, junk foods, candy, chips, etc offer very little nutritional value and fool your body into thinking it is still hungry when it really isn't. Concentrate on eating foods that are high in protein, complex carbohydrates and essential fats. These will help satisfy your hunger for longer periods of time.
6. A good trick to use to fool your brain into thinking you are eating enough food is to use a smaller plate. This way it will appear that you are eating alot of food because it will cover the smaller plate.
7. Some recommend not eating while watching TV because you may be focused on the program and not on how much you are eating. This leads to overconsumption. We also tend to eat through the length of the show whether we are hungry or not.
Understanding the fundamental reason for overeating may help you answer the question how can I stop overeating? The reason people overeat is that there is a lack of connection between our bodies and what physical hunger is. Instead of eating when we need to we eat because we get caught up in the visual, psychological, cultural and social cues regarding how much we eat vs. what we really need to eat.

Meditation For Health
Meditation can improve your health mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Many people struggle with the idea of learning meditation simply because they don't have 30 minutes to dedicate each day to understanding and practicing the process.
Know that you can learn to meditate with no goal in mind. In other words, if you are not a spiritual person, spirituality doesn't need to be a part of your meditation. Learn to "take" what your meditation "gives" you. So what does that mean? For some people meditation gives them 3 minutes of time for themselves, while another person might find that meditation gives them 3 minutes of not thinking about work. Someone else may benefit by practicing visualization.
Meditation isn't about perfecting clearing all thoughts from your mind. Rather it is about focusing on less. If you are a person who seems to have a lot of chatter in your mind, meditation can help you to think about fewer things at one time. This won't slow you down, but it will allow you to focus and perhaps complete more tasks.
Start by putting on a `sound' cd, such as sounds from nature or Tibetan bowl music. Sit straight up in a chair or on the floor. Now closing your eyes and listening to the cd, breathe from your belly and begin to count your "out" breaths. When you realize your mind has wondered, begin counting your breaths again. Don't worry about where you left off in your count, it isn't important. Including the time that you struggled with your thoughts, meditate for about 3 minutes. As you take this time to meditate you will find that it becomes a little easier. When you feel that you are meditating more then struggling with your thoughts, increase the time by another minute or so. This really does get easier and is really worth working on. In time you will notice that you are not counting your breaths. It is in this stillness that you can really listen to your higher self, improve your intuition and relax your mind and body.

Neck Pain Causes
The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be. Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about even if you are not suffering.
So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.
Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time. For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery depending on how bad your situation is.
Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury. This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead to injury to the neck and back.
If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse over time.
Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.

Shed Your Extra Kilos With Colon Cleansing!
A colon cleanser is the handiest way of shedding those extra kilos off your body. It is often looked on as an essential means of trying to trim down your body plump. Most people are aware of the fact that a colon cleanse is generally performed to ensure that you maintain your digestive processes. Most of us don't aware of the fact that colon cleansing also gives rise to a constant fat reduction as well.
Yes, it is true that colon cleansing does help us a lot to loose weight, the natural way. Without wasting any more time, let me discuss here the ways in the course of which you hope to shed your extra kilos through a natural colon cleanser.
One of the biggest reason how you can hope to get rid of your extra kilos while leaving aside the so called, "over hyped" weight loss products, is by trying the methodologies of a colon cleanser. Colon cleansing is a procedure by which, you can shed the extra kilos off your body and it is also very easy to do so. All you are need is to make use of a cleanser on a regular basis.
A natural cleanser, such as Bowtrol, enters your digestive system and softens all the waste material that has been implanted deep within your digestive tract. As you do it on a regular basis, waste material within the elementary canal continues to get softer and in a very short span of time, you would actually be benefiting through a natural weight loss process. Another advantage of a colon cleanse program is the improvement in your digestive system. Smoother digestion benefits you in the longer run. The main reasons why people accumulate extra kilos around their abdominal region is, they are not being able to absorb the nutrients completely. As digestion system starts to wean, you can easily gain pounds in a matter of days.
Now, by a colon cleansing therapy, you actually cleanse off all the sludge that is still buried inside. Once your digestive system is cleaned, it improves your digestion process. And with the improvement in your digestive processes, you automatically tend to shed your kilos at a faster pace.
Another reason why we get over weighted is because our metabolism becomes sluggish. Once your metabolism becomes sluggish, we tend to accumulate fats in our body. The fat matter present in your body is burnt through a calorie burner and your calorie burner happens to be your metabolism. Owing to the waste matter and the fecal bi-products which are jammed within our digestive tracts, we tend to slow down our metabolic process. Due to this, we burn lesser amount of calories. And we are inclined to gain weight at a rapid pace.
The bottom line is, through a natural colon cleanser, you tend to flush the waste material and improve your digestion as well. Once your digestion improves, your metabolism improves automatically. Hence, you'll shed your kilos on a regular basis.

Meibomian Gland Dysfunction
Meibomian Gland Dysfunction refers to failure the tiny oily secreting glands that are located between the eyelashes on the edges of both upper and lower eyelids.
These glands produce an oily film that covers the watery tear film with a virtual barrier layer that inhibits evaporation which in turn maintains a complete tear film coating and protecting the eye for longer.
In reality the presence of the oily layer means that blinking can take place up to every ten seconds or so as the eye is bathed in comforting tears for that time. As soon as the tear breaks up the nerve endings in the conjunctiva alert that a re-covering of the tear film is needed. The eye does this by blinking and each eyelid sweeps over the surface of the eye like a car's windscreen wiper (only in this case the wipe reapplies the tear covering over the whole of the eye surface, it doesn't remove it!)
The role of the Meibomian Glands is to squeeze tiny quantities of oil onto the surface of the eye with every blink. Any problem with the gland will lead to problems with the oil secretion and consequently tear film stability. It is helpful to consider the Meibomian glands as being very similar to other oil glands located on the skin. They can become blocked by overproduction, infection or the wrong consistency of waxed oil.
Treatment of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction should aim first to normalise the steady secretion of good quality light oil. Blocked glands respond to warmth as the waxy plugs are softened and can be expressed by massage. A video tutorial explaining how to do this in a professional way is shown on the Lumecare website.

Weight Loss By Vegetarian Diet
Have you noticed lately that many people are passing on the heavier meats in favor of vegetables? Many banquet attendees have been joining the ranks of the popular vegetarian dishes over prime rib. This is due to the increased awareness of health and the many celebrities now endorsing weight loss for better health. A vegetarian diet may just be the answer to your weight loss.
What exactly does a vegetarian diet entail? Todays vegetarian diet is not your typical vegetables only diet. There are those that stick to eating only beans, fruits, nuts and vegetables. However, others eat eggs and cheese and they also drink milk.
One of the benefits of the vegetarian diet is the lower cholesterol and fat content. This will aid in the prevention of heart disease and has been known to help reduce the incidence of cancer. One of the main problems of the totally vegetarian diet is the vitamins and minerals you may be lacking.
One of the main elements to a vegetarian diet that is successful is the planning. The meals must be planned to include the proper vitamins and minerals. If not, the body may be deprived of the healthy nutrients it needs.
One of the beneficial aspects of a vegetarian diet is the healthy foods such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables that are consumed. Protein is another matter as you may not get enough of this vital substance. One way around this is by adding soy to the vegetarian diet as it provides a large amount of protein. Iron is yet another thing you need to consider. In order to receive enough iron you will need to eat plenty of beans and spinach because the normal foods that provide iron such as roast beef and liver will not be consumed.
Vitamins may need to be used as a supplement in order to get the right amounts of calcium, B-12, zinc and Vitamin D. If not, you would be overloading yourself with broccoli, spinach, cereals and soy milk. Another thing to keep in mind is being on a vegetarian diet is not permission to eat as much junk food as you want either. The high-calorie items will have to be eliminated as much as possible as well.
With the old saying ' variety is the spice of life' comes the knowledge that it is also a benefit for those who want to stick to a vegetarian diet. The different types of vegetables and fruits need to be consumed as well. If you are one that does consume dairy, use low-fat cheese and milk or the non-fat type. Cholesterol rich eggs should only be eaten once in awhile.
According to studies there have been far less calories consumed by vegetarians than others who eat meat. The body mass index is one of the tools used to measure how obese you are and vegetarians are lower in body mass index than those who eat meat. But eating vegetables does not mean you do not have to watch your calories and amounts of what you eat. Being a vegetarian is not a cure for being overweight but it will definitely help when trying to rid yourself of those excess pounds.
There are many people that think being a vegetarian is a fast way to lose the weight they need to lose. They think if the meat they are used to eating is replaced by vegetables for a couple of weeks they will take off weight. This is not a good way to consider losing weight because the effect is yo-yo dieting which is unhealthy. The choice of a vegetarian diet is one that you should stick with. If not, you may not be as happy with your weight loss as a whole.
Being a vegetarian is not everyone's idea of a good way to lose weight. For those who are good vegetable and fruit eaters and are not overly enthused about meat there is the option of finding another diet which you may want to consider. Whatever diet you choose to use hinges on two things - personal preferences and the diet program you will follow.

How Mental Attitude and Digestion Affect Acne
Mental attitude
Acne is an expression of toxins in the body that are not being released through normal channels of elimination, so they come out through the skin. Since mental attitude and thoughts cannot be separate from the body, thoughts and feelings are also being expressed as acne.
Negative thoughts and feelings produce chemicals that are toxic acids. Just like toxic acids created in the colon, the toxic thoughts need to be eliminated through the 5 elimination channels
Acne can be an expression suppressed past traumatic experiences. As a child, when you were exposed to experiences that overwhelm you - constant mental, physical, or sexually abuse, you suppress them. As now as an adult, as your defense system weakens, you're not able to completely suppress this information, so it becomes expressed as acne or other skin disorders. Of course, these suppressed experiences can be expressed as other diseases.
Acne can also be related to the emotion of fear or anxiety. It can also be an expression of holding onto old junkie or unpleasant memories. It's a way of holding on to and burying the junkie or toxic memory into your face. It is these memories that are trying to surface and, in a usual way, asking you to face them. Many times, you and other people may not want to remember them or deal with them.
To deal with them requires a lot of strength and help from a psychotherapist.
Stomach Acid
Your stomach uses Hydrochloric acid (HCl) to break down protein. It also has many other functions,
" Kills pathogens and microbes and prevents them from getting into the colon and blood
" Controls the adsorption of B12
" Controls the adsorption of iron calcium zinc, copper, magnesium and most B-complex vitamins
" Controls the adsorption of vitamin C
" Created indigestion
" Prevents constipation
When you have low levels of HCl chances are that you will be susceptible to getting acne. HCl can be increased by using a digestive enzyme that contains HCl.
Pancreatic Digestive Enzymes
When the food you eat passes the stomach and enters the small intestine, the pancreas releases digestive enzymes and bicarbonate to help complete the digestive process.
The bicarbonate helps to reduce the acid strength in the food coming from the stomach. The digestive enzymes digest carbohydrates, fats, and protein.
When the pancreas loses its efficiency and starts to release less digestive enzymes, less food is properly digested. This results in more undigested food reaching the colon. When this happens, the undigested food, if it stays to long in the colon, becomes a source for rotting matter and toxic material. This toxic material can get into your blood and cause skin disruption such as acne.
A healthy pancreas, which provides the necessary digestive juices to digest the food you eat, is needed for healthy skin and for eliminating acne and other skin sores and eruptions.
When you have acne or other skin diseases, they are created when there is an in-balance in your body and that includes many different organs and body processes and systems - your thoughts, digestion, liver, kidney, lymphatic system, lungs, and pancreas.posted by Healthy Life at 10:35 AM
Anxiety Depression - Self Help
Perhaps one of the most difficult types of illnesses to deal with is mental illness. Many times it shows itself without reason and without warning. Your financial status, race, religion, sex etc all plays no role in whether you develop anxiety and depression or not. Millions of people around the world are affected by anxiety and depression and we are still unable to say exactly what causes it. This has made finding an exact treatment somewhat difficult which is why many people are turning to anxiety depression self help.
Some people still notice symptoms early in life maybe even as early as their teenage years while others may be well into retirement before they start to see any real symptoms. One of the problems of diagnosing depression and anxiety is the fact many people do experience signs but are unsure of exactly what they mean or worse yet they are too embarrassed to seek help. The taboo that mental illness is something to be ashamed of is years outdated and today there is no reason to feel this way.
Self help can be very effective in determining the mental symptoms of depression. In some patients mental symptoms such as increased feelings of sadness, desperation, and hopelessness exist. Friends or family may notice the person has begun to withdraw from social activities and may be ignoring attempts to reach them. These are only a few of the mental symptoms of depression.
Physical symptoms of anxiety and depression can be much more obvious. Many people suffering from mental illnesses such as depression report aches and pains throughout their body. One of the most noticeable physical signs is weight gain or weight loss. Some people affected with depression and anxiety feel the need to eat in order to soothe themselves while others will lose their appetite altogether and may forget to eat leading to drastic weight loss. One of the most dangerous physical symptoms of those suffering from depression and anxiety are panic attacks. A person having a panic attack actually does run the risk of suffocating due to the degree of difficulty they experience breathing.
Whether a person is suffering from physical symptoms of anxiety and depression or mental symptoms there are many effective treatment programs out there. Anxiety depression self help is one of the easiest and quickest forms of treatments a person should consider.
In today's world we are all very quick to put junk food into our bodies and then plop down on the sofa to watch hours and hours of our favorite television shows. Well, as you might have guessed your body isn't too keen on this behavior hence the increase in obesity in this country. One thing you may not realize however is this lack of exercise and poor diet also can be attributed to development of anxiety and depression. Your body needs certain vitamins and nutrients to function properly and if you are not getting proper nutrition in your diet you are doing serious harm to your body. Worse yet, your body needs ample amounts of exercise in order to release built up stress and tension among other things. When you rob your body of that needed release valve you are cooking up a recipe for anxiety and depression.
