How to Prevent Bad Breath? Simple!
We all know that bad breath can be prevented but are you actually correct? Even if you are, are you taking the right measures to do so without harming your body? Instead of providing a remedy for this problem, let's avoid even having halitosis breath at all. So lets dive straight into how we can prevent it naturally.
Breath odor is usually derived from the mouth and can be present due to a few factors. However, it is definite on who the culprit is. BACTERIA! The waste materials that these bacteria produce, which are essentially sulphur contents, are the contributing factors on having smelly breath. So now we will find ways to tackle this issue of bacteria in our mouths.
Firstly, keep your mouth moist by drinking lots of water. Bacteria thrive in dry environments and thus by keeping your mouth wet, the amount of bacteria in the mouth would naturally decrease. Less waste products would be produced by the fall in number of bacteria, hence bad breath would be kept to its minimum. Drinking water also helps to flush down whatever food stuck in the mouth and in between teeth. The stuck food pose as a food source for the bacteria, and if there is less food available, naturally, there would be less bacteria.
Next, avoid or cut down on food stuffs which promote halitosis breath. These foods include stuff like garlic, onions and proteins. Garlic and onions directly influence the odor of your breath but proteins are a rich source of nutrients for the bacteria to flourish in. If you happen to consume these foods, be mindful of it and make sure you drink more water and brush your teeth.
This bring me to my last pointer, improve your oral hygiene! Brushing of teeth helps to get rid of excess food stuff and bacteria in the mouth. It clears your mouth of unwanted substances and also provides a refreshing smell. Brushing of teeth should be done at least twice a day. Most importantly, do not forget to clean your tongue, as the tongue is another source of bacteria.

Bleeding Gums - Beware of False Products
I recently saw a product for gum disease that had a testimonial that said, "My gums look better after one brushing". That is total nonsense - sorry to say.
There is not a miracle cure that works after one application. I would RUN, not walk, away from any website that promises such nonsense.
As a matter of fact, when it comes to gum disease, there is not a single product that will work for everyone who tries it. Every body's chemistry and ever body's situation is different.
This is the same reason that medicine is truly an art and not a science. There is no medication that works for everyone hands down. There are always exceptions.
Sometimes it requires a number of products in combination to do the job. Or perhaps the right training and techniques are needed. At any rate, gum disease is not really a problem that is so easy to solve.
I've studied this subject for a while due to the need to solve my own problem and now I study it because it interests me. The body is a complicated organism and what works for one may not work for another.
I'm definitely an advocate of products that I have personally found to be useful. But there is also some basics that need to be understood about gum disease. You need to understand what you are fighting so that you can be sure that it doesn't come back. You also need to be effective in what you are doing.
Sure you can throw a board over a broken window. But a bit more skill is needed to repair that window properly. Look to the links below for more information on what you can to do to stop gum disease and prevent it from coming back.

Family Therapy in Attention Deficit Disorders
When a family is faced with one or more children who may have an attention deficit disorder (ADD) and/or a co-morbid disorder such as ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder), Aspergers or OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), they have to decide what is the best way of treating it. The alternative of leaving it undiagnosed and untreated may lead to drug abuse or trouble with the law. Very often the hyperactivity and especially impulsiveness will land the child or adult in very difficult situations.
Because the attention deficit disorder child will have problems both at home and school, the effects on the home life may well be devastating and will impinge on family life in a negative way, if parents do not know how to handle this situation. There is also a potential hazard with siblings who sometimes have to witness a meltdown. The best way to cope with that is to have an emergency plan and by talking to the siblings so that everybody knows how to handle it, rather than by brushing it under the carpet. Everybody will have a precise role to play in that situation. This is what family therapy or ADHD behavioral therapy is all about.
Marital problems can also be exacerbated by attention deficit disorder and there has to be a conscious effort to have a behavior code which everyone is signed up to. If this is not done, then there will be even more tension between spouses. Marriages when confronted with ADHD are at greater risk of separation and divorce. Being prepared is being well armed.
ADHD behavior therapy or family therapy will be able to address issues such as marital relations, how siblings need not suffer but can play an active role in the whole therapy process. There are strategies for learning how to manage the family better and coping with emergencies such as violent arguments, defiance, lying, refusal to do homework. There is also a plan for getting the whole family involved so that everyone has a role and purpose.
The attention deficit disorder child will be able to cope with social skills and learn better how to make friends and how to behave with peers. Very often ADHD kids are lonely and somewhat ostracised in the playground. There is a rewards/consequences plan in force to reward and reinforce good behavior while inappropriate behavior is linked to a withdrawal of privileges and/or certain consequences. The kids themselves benefit enormously from family therapy and find that they can finish tasks like homework, get organised and reduce their inattention. You can find out more about ADHD behavior therapy from the link below.

ADHD in Girls
First let's review the primary symptoms of ADHD: inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity/restlessness. Since ADHD in girls is a topic just starting to come to the forefront it probably comes as no surprise that this condition goes unnoticed and ultimately untreated much more often in girls than in boys.
While inattention is the main diagnostic symptom, hyperactivity is the ADHD symptom that tends to draw the most attention, thus forcing many parents to seek professional help. While girls can be just as hyperactive as their male counterparts, they tend to not cause as much trouble or create as many problems. Hyperactivity in girls often takes on the form of excessive talking, emotional behaviors, or silliness. Girls with ADHD tend to talk constantly and can't seem to stay quite even when they get in trouble for talking. They have a tendency to interrupt others constantly and jump from subject to subject during a conversation. Does any of this sound familiar?
Looks like a clear cut diagnosis of attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity, right? Not so fast screams the doctor! His professional opinion is that rather than having ADHD her behavior is simply a product of emotional or family problems. He goes on to mention that she could be just feeling the effects of her parent's divorce a few years ago and acting out appropriately. After all ADHD is only found in one out of every ten girls.
The above story clearly demonstrates that not only are girls less likely to be recognized as having ADHD symptoms they are also fighting the statistical battle as well. Girls who do not show hyperactivity tend not to be behavioral problems, thus leading to a misdiagnosis. This is almost always the case unless a learning disability is involved. Another reason girls fail to get diagnosed is that when one eliminates the symptom of hyperactivity they fall into the nice, quite, and shy stereotype. This nice little girl stereotype meets cultural expectations so people overlook their subtle learning difficulties. This leads to such generalities such as slow to mature or will disappear with age.
For young girls there are many reasons why ADHD can go undetected for years. With every passing year where ADHD goes undiagnosed the risk of serious long term damage to their self esteem, ability to achieve, relationships, and emotions is being done, leading to long term consequences. These consequences may follow them for the rest of their lives.
In summary, ADHD in girls is still a condition that many experts are reluctant to acknowledge. Hopefully, as more information becomes available this will start to change. If you feel like you or your child many be plagued by ADHD symptoms such as inattention, impulsivity or hyperactivity don't hesitate to pursue a professional opinion.
Additionally, many parents and adults alike are opting for a natural treatment for ADHD symptoms rather than risk the chance of potentially harmful side effects associated with ADHD prescription medications. These all natural treatments are extremely safe and have been shown to be effective in relieving such common symptoms as hyperactivity, distractibility and impulsivity.
